Certification marks – like the ETL Listed Mark – demonstrate compliance to the requirements of widely accepted product safety standards, as determined through independent testing and periodic follow-up inspections by an NRTL. It is the quality of customer service and of the capabilities provided by the testing laboratory issuing each certification mark that sets them apart.
Do local inspectors know the ETL Listed Mark?
Yes. Inspectors, code officials and Authorities Having Jurisdiction recognize and accept the ETL Mark as proof of product compliance throughout North America as well as other parts of the world.
Will retailers accept my product if it bears the ETL Listed Mark?
Yes. Our product safety certification program includes the same testing, listing, labeling, and follow-up inspection services as competing certification marks (such as UL, CSA, and others), and our lab is accredited by the same organizations, agencies, and regulatory bodies.
